Religious Education
Recently we finished a lenten lecture series and before that a 16 week study of 8 Short books of the Old Testament and 8 short books of the New Testament
Overview:
Immediately before our risen Lord's ascension into heaven, he instructed His disciples: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" (Matt. 28:19). That Jesus would give this final instruction to His followers shows the importance of these words; but in order to proclaim the "good news" (i.e., gospel) and make disciples of others, we must first become disciples ourselves. This is done, in part, by understanding God's revelation to us. We take this mission seriously and invite anyone interested to join our regular classes. Participants are given any necessary informational handouts and questionnaires ahead of time to consider as they read through the assigned material for the week. Class discussions are interactive, offering people an opportunity to learn in a contextually appropriate way, ask questions, and apply what they are learning to their lives.
